- Very friendly people

- Close to NEHarbor, SWHarbor and Bar Harbor
The bad
- Little internet and cell phone availability (difficult when trying to coordinate with people and/or when something major happens at work)
- The ferry on/off island stops running pretty early
- Really pre-thinking your meals
- Eight.Hour.Drive. (one way)
- Driving through carwash level rain to get home
- Views like these
- Jordan Pond House popovers

I have a friend who left Los Angeles to live on Little Cranberry Island. He has lived there for several years now! sounds beautiful..
It's beautiful there. Worth the drive? It would be to me, but I don't know how you feel about these things. *G* That rain really was pounding!
